Controllers must maintain an entry in the register of controllers and processors. It is the controllers obligation to maintain a valid entry, but we do send registration reminders approximately 6 weeks prior to the expiry date to assist controllers. Postal reminders have already been sent for entries expiring up to, and including, 12 July 2020.
If you are not sure whether the entry is due to expire you are asked to check the copy of your register entry we sent to you last year, or alternatively view it online at: https://inforights.im/registration/register-of-controllers-and-processors/
You can use the details in the register entry to complete the online renewal form, prior to the expiration date, at: https://inforights.im/registration/renew-registration/
Fee payment details will be sent with the email confirming receipt of the completed form and are also available at: https://inforights.im/registration/registration-fees/
You will be required to pay the fee of £50.00 prior to the expiration date, unless you are exempt from payment of the fee. If you paid the fee last year, that requirement has not changed.
The register entry will run from the expiry date irrespective of when, prior to the expiry date, you complete the renewal process by submitting the form and fee.
We aim to assist controllers eliminate the possibility of entries expiring as far as possible by providing this guidance. However, if the entry expires, a new registration will be required, together with a fee of £70.00.
PLEASE CAN YOU COMPLETE THE ONLINE RENEWAL FORM IF POSSIBLE AS THERE MAY BE UNFORESEEN DELAYS IN POSTAL COLLECTIONS AND DELIVERIES
