On 17 August 2021, the Commissioner issued an Urgent Enforcement Notice to Manx Care requiring it to comply with a specific request for access to personal data (subject access request).

At the date of issue, more than 4 months had elapsed since Manx Care received that subject access request. Manx Care was continuing to fail to comply with that request and was unable to give the Commissioner any indication as to when it would comply with that request.  The Commissioner decided that the circumstances therefore necessitated the issue of an urgent enforcement notice to Manx Care ordering it to comply with that request by 26 August 2021.

Failure to comply with an Enforcement Notice may result in a penalty and/or contempt proceedings.
